A bipartisan group of top-ranking lawmakers is calling on the Obama administration to veto an "anti-Israel" resolution being pushed by Palestinian leaders at the UnitedNations .

Police battled protestors in massive demonstrations across Egypt Friday, as unrest mounted. At a news conference on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum annual meeting in Davos, the U.N. chief said "all concerned people and leaders should ensure" events don't lead to further violence and called on leaders to "listen attentively" to the people. Asked about Egypt's efforts to shut down the Internet, Ban called on leaders to respect "freedom of expression and association."
